Doctrine on the Scripture excerpt from: "Letter to Serapion of Thmuis" by Athanasius of Alexandria (d. 373) Saint of the Catholic Church
"Let us note that the very tradition, teaching, and faith of the Catholic Church from the beginning, which the Lord gave, was preached by the Apostles, and was preserved by the Fathers. On this was the Church founded; and if anyone departs from this, he neither is nor any longer ought to be called a Christian." Athanasius, exerpt from "Letter to Serapion of Thmuis" | |||||||||||
“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works." 2 Tim 3:16-17 KJV
